Tomas runs errands and
delivers messages for a crusty old theif, whose name he has never asked. He learned early to ask little if he wished
to remain healthy. He became too inquisitive once and spent six months in the hospital ward of an orphanage.
He escaped the orphange and
workhouse, vowing never to return there. He would rather die than to return to the abuse and beatings.

Tomas does what he has to do to survive.
It has had to be this way ever since he can remember. He has found a friend, that lives in a grand home. Ost always
has plenty to eat, a warm bed to sleep in, plenty of clothes and caring people around her she can trust. He like
to visit Ost and likes her family. After a night of work has gone there to sneaking over the wall and sleep in
the stable. Where he feels safe.
Tomas has none of these things, although
he is not envious. He has learned life is not fair, and few can be trusted. What friends he has in the streets would
just a soon steal from him, rat him out to the coppers or kill him to survive. They would do
that as quickly as they would cross the street.
But such is life.
